Against the backdrop of industrial green transformation, coal-fired boiler rooms are confronted with dual requirements for environmental protection and energy conservation. An oilfield has upgraded and renovated its coal-fired boiler rooms by adopting the FRECON FR500A vector inverter, achieving precise speed regulation and coordinated system operation. This not only meets the ultra-low emission standards but also significantly improves energy efficiency and reduces energy consumption, providing a replicable demonstration solution for the transformation of similar energy equipment.

The special boiler room for oil fields is mainly composed of the boiler body, combustion and coal supply system, steam-water circulation system, induced draft and forced draft system, environmental protection dust removal and desulfurization equipment, intelligent control system, and auxiliary facilities supporting oil field operations. As the core for heating supply and steam guarantee in oil field production, its structure integrates combustion and heat exchange, medium circulation, safety and environmental protection. It is equipped with automatic equipment such as variable frequency speed regulation, pressure and temperature monitoring, and integrates units including coal conveying, slag removal and water treatment. The whole system is adapted to the continuous production demand of oil fields, achieving stable heating supply, ultra-low emissions and highly efficient and energy-saving operation.

The oilfield boiler room heats the water inside the boiler drum by burning fuels such as coal to produce high-temperature hot water or steam, providing a heat source for oilfield production, tracing heat, and pipeline insulation. The fuel is fully combusted in the combustion system to release heat, and the steam-water system completes heat exchange and circulation; the fan system supplies oxygen and discharges flue gas, which achieves ultra-low emissions after dust removal and desulfurization. The entire system automatically adjusts air volume, water volume, and combustion intensity through variable frequency control and intelligent instruments, ensuring continuous and stable heat supply while achieving efficient operation, energy conservation, and emission reduction.

The FR500A inverter acts as the "intelligent brain" of the boiler room fans. It dynamically adjusts the rotational speed according to the real-time load of the boiler, precisely controls the air-coal ratio, ensures full combustion of fuel, and reduces pollutant emissions at the source. It can also coordinate with the desulfurization and denitrification system, optimizing air volume based on flue gas data to ensure stable and compliant emissions.

For high-energy-consuming equipment such as circulating pumps and cooling pumps, this inverter replaces traditional throttling regulation. It automatically adjusts speed based on water temperature and pressure, significantly reducing energy consumption under low-load conditions. Its soft-start function minimizes equipment impact, extends service life, reduces maintenance, achieving both energy conservation and cost reduction.

In this project, the FR500A inverter is deeply integrated with the boiler PLC system, enabling full-system linkage control of equipment such as fans and water pumps. It can automatically match the optimal operating parameters according to the actual working conditions of oilfield production. After the renovation, the energy consumption of boiler room fans and water pumps has decreased by 20% to 40%, and the overall operating efficiency has increased by more than 15%. Meanwhile, by optimizing the combustion and circulation systems, fuel consumption is effectively reduced, achieving dual control of energy consumption and emissions, providing a practical and reliable renovation solution for industrial green transformation.
