Construction hoists are essential equipment in modern high-rise construction, working in conjunction with large
tower cranes. They play an irreplaceable role, especially in high-rise and super-high-rise building projects, by ensuring
construction schedules and safety, reducing construction costs, and alleviating labor intensity.
Construction hoists, also known as building construction elevators, are safe and efficient vertical transport devices used in construction.
They are frequently employed as personnel and cargo lifting equipment on construction sites.
·Specifications: Load capacity of 1 to 3 tons, operating speed of 1 to 60 m/min.
·Components: Steel structure, drive system, electrical system, safety system.
·Features: Easy to install and dismantle, can be raised as the building height increases, with stable performance, safety and reliability,
flexible handling, and strong adaptability.
Comprises a motor, couplings, a reducer, and gears mounted on the reducer's output shaft. The drive system is installed
inside the hoist cage and engages with the rack on the guide rails via gears, enabling the cage to move up and down.
Composed of the power supply box, control box, and operation panel.
Includes overload, rope break, short circuit, and overspeed safety switches in the circuitry. Each door on the hoist
cage is equipped with limit switches, and a cone-type speed limiter is installed as a fall protection device.
Drive Methods: Contactor Direct Start (Traditional Construction Hoist) vs. VFD Start
Drive Method Comparison: Taking an SC2000 single-cage hoist driven by 3×11 kW motors
from a certain manufacturer as an example.
Option 1: Standalone Inverter Solution — FR500A Crane/Elevator Special Inverter
Features:
1.The inverter and brake module are integrated, eliminating the need for an external brake unit.
2.Specialized logic braking control enhances safety performance.
3.Factory settings are pre-configured; simply connect according to the manual for use.
0: Based on frequency
The brake opening condition is when the inverter output reaches the frequency set in H00.05 (rising) or H00.07 (falling), followed
y the brake opening delay time set in H00.01.
1: Based on frequency and current
In addition to reaching the frequency set in H00.05 (rising) or H00.07 (falling), the inverter's current must also reach the value
set in H00.09 (brake opening current).
Option 2: Integrated Cabinet Solution — SC2000 Construction Hoist Integrated Cabinet Controller
Features:
1. Integrates inverter module, brake module, logic control unit module, and weight limiter module into one unit.
2. Compared to traditional inverter control cabinets, it is smaller, lighter, and thinner, making it easy to install inside
the cage and convenient for transportation.
3. Compared to inverter hoist cabinets: lower cost, simpler installation, and reduced labor costs.
4. Clear LED indicators and silk-screen markings for various input and output limit signals, making maintenance easier.
